Friday confessional...

I'm getting my haircut next Wednesday...I totally want to dye it but I am totally and utterly scared to do so. I got highlights once and I HATED them. I looked blonde...no offense to blonde's but I am not one... I was told I would have to dye my hair and then get deep undertones and then some highlights... whatever that means.... I want my red hair back!!!! It is this awful mousy brownish color now and people have mentioned it without me asking for their opinion...thanks for the confidence booster people! I always think the short haircuts are really cute and sexy so why are they not really cute adn sexy on me? I am a closet Ensign "horder" I was cleaning out my nightstand today and I had 10 ensigns stashed in there... No wonder Nathan can never find them when he needs to go hometeaching... Speaking of I need to make appointments to go visiting teaching... I was really excited about the chili cookoff tomorrow for our ward Now I am not so sure my chili will be going wit...

The story behind our insanity...

Image
It's true...insanity exsists...why do we do what we do? Inspiration? Missing "marbles", the thrill of the ride and adventure that awaits? I don't know... we believe inspiration met by a loving Heavenly Father who decided our request was worth "entertaining." I am not sure...but it is true..the rumors are true...you heard it straight from the accused themselves... Baby Whittacre #5 will make his/her debut.... Yes, we do realize we have a 7 month old baby girl. These two will be the same distance as Natali and Noah are (16 months). We did willingly and knowingly make this decison and honestly part of it just seems so unreal and although we do not have to justify our actions in anyway I thought I might share a little insight into our "insanity" so to speak... 1. we have felt for a very long time (since before Natali was born) that our last child would be a boy (his name is very special to Nathan's family and he will be named after Nathan's gra...

One of these days...

I will catch up on all the posts I would "like" to do... Back to School Kate's bus...although unfortunately I think I may need to start taking her to school. The bus is starting to come later and later everyday and Natali and Noah's school starts before Kate and three times now (in 3 weeks) they have been late because of the bus...starting to get annoying now...there isn't really even a huge time difference but when I have other kids to get to school I can't be waiting around especially when I pick up Natali's friend Ashlyn in the morning too. I guess I was hoping it would finally stabalize at a decent time and I would have loved to keep the morning bus for a couple of reasons. 1. Kate really likes it and it gives her a sense of independence (main reason) 2. it would make life a lot easier when the baby is born in May in getting kids to and from school...but I guess Nathan will just have to manage a little more time each morning until the end of the schoo...

YUMMY!

So I have this recipe in a weight watchers book called Beef in a Leaf...we ate it once and it was good but messy. I made it again and it wasn't as good the second time. But then a few weeks ago we had some leftover steak from having our family over for dinner so the next day I thought Beef in a Leaf sounded good so I decided to tweak it a little (for a couple reasons) but I just had to share the recipe it is soooooo good. I call in Beef and Leaf rather than Beef in a leaf...(the orginal recipe you wrap it up like a lettuce wrap and it didn't call for asparagus) so here is my weight watchers worthy Beef and Leaf (this is also good without steak for my vegetarian friends, just sautee the aspargus with the sauce and wallah!) Ingredients Left over Steak (cut up) (or you can cook the steak fresh until medium and then slice it and serve it fresh) angel hair pasta Red leaf lettuce (or packaged organic spring mix works great too) 2 TB honey 2 TB balsamic vinegar 2 TB low sodium soy s...

"You would have thought..."

"You would have thought it was the second coming!" (our Relief Society President said it the best) David Archuleta was in town for a Jerry Lewis telethon at the Southpoint (which is just up the street from us) so our lucky ward were graced by his presence...it would have been awesome if he sang for us but with it being fast and testimony meeting that would have been really odd though... Honestly I want to say "whoopdidoo" but I might get stoned. LOL! I think he is a talented kid and if I was a young woman between the ages of 12-19 I probably would have been giddy too. But it was more entertaining to watch the reactions of others... I will be honest I had no idea he was there until the end of church. I was subbing the CTR4 and 5 classes and I had opened the door at the end of the last hour to let the parents of the CTR4 class know where there kids were (because they were not in their usual class) when David walks around the corner with his dad to leave... now I thoug...
