Remembering my Father on his birthday!
 Happy Birthday Dad!


Two years ago tomorrow I said my last goodbye
But although you are missing
In my heart you cannot hide.
I feel your presence near me
Everywhere I go
Reminding me you love me
And it always goes to show
That although I can't talk to you
and call you on the phone
 To you hear you say your famous words...
"For a cantankerous old man...I am doing fine!"
And though I cannot travel
To your home to give you hugs
I feel your arms around me
When I am feeling really "bugged"
I know you left this earth to fulfill a higher calling
but the emptiness you left here will never be forgotten.

Dad, thank you for loving me. I don't know if you know how often I think about you or miss you or if you are sitting over my shoulder reading what I have to say. But as I may appear strong on the outside, I cry tears inside missing you and mom everyday.

Eat some angel food cake with Bryan today and celebrate both of your birthday's in style!

God's Hand I haven't blogged in a while. I guess it's time to show some gratitude. I have come to realize in the last year or so how often we take for granted how incredibly involved our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ are in our everyday life. Just because we can't not see them physically, I find that we often forget how much they really do have their hands extended and are continually guiding us.        Of course I do believe that life is all about choices. The good, the bad, the ugly, or rather determining what is good, better and best. What we choose can shape a lot of who we are and who we have the capability of becoming. We have agency. He let's us choose. But as we follow His guidance through the Spirit I definitely think He knows where He needs us better than we do. Merry Christmas 2018! I deeply apologize for the 2nd year in a row not sending out Christmas cards/letters. I just haven't had the extra time or patience to do so. I haven't been on my blog in forever and almost forgot how to post anything. I hope you all enjoy. The past couple years have brought some trials as is life. But through it all we have continually be blessed and the outpouring of love and support from those around us have made burdens lighter. We are most grateful for our Savior and His divine hand in our lives and that is really all we can ask for. A short blurb for each of us. Nathan's business is expanding which brings more travel and more stress. But blessings all the same. He hiked the JMT trail this summer/fall for his birthday that was in May. I sat thinking today (dangerous I know)  and decided to change things up on my blog today...who doesn't like a CONTEST! Yup...now don't get too excited. You won't be winning millions of dollars or anything like that. Now I have friends ALL over the country and out of the country for that matter. SO if someone outside of Vegas or Utah wins this ridiculously silly contest, then I will figure out something I can mail to you. If you are local or in Utah I will make you something amazing. My amazing chocolate cupcakes, or fresh baked bread, or maybe even invite you to our home for dinner (if you are local). But as I was pondering my lack of energy today.
