Happy Birthday Natali!

Natali had a fabulous birthday! She started off the day requesting French Toast for her birthday breakfast...so Nathan made her great French Toast...we then did some cleaning and decided to open her gifts before her baptism. She got two outfits and some Sketchers shoes and socks from her Aunt Cyndie, then opened up this...she just stared at it and said, "A new helmet?" she couldn't understand why she would get a new helmet...(of all things) Nathan then asked her why she might think she would need a new one? She looked at it again and said, " A new bike?" He then told her to check the garage...

This is what she found....needless to say Nathan had grabbed socks and shoes for all the kids and Noah kept asking why they needed socks and shoes (this was before she opened her helmet) so the moment they all saw her bike they were thrilled because they knew they all got to go out and ride bikes...so they rode for about an hour and then they came in for baths followed by a quick lunch that we inhaled it so we could get to the baptism on time.
 She made her Daddy feel special she was attached to him the whole day...(it was a Daddy-Daughter moment) all day which brought tears to my eyes for good reasons... here they are in her dress and his suit.

The baptism was beautiful! She pretty much planned the entire thing she insisted that the talks had to be given by people who held the Priesthood. So she chose her Uncle Brett to give a talk on Baptism...he was very funny he kept giving her a bad time and trying to convince her to let his "brother" baptize her...although we explained to her Friday night that her Daddy was his brother...she insisted her "DADDY" was the one to baptize her...LOL! She is usually very quick to catch onto those things but she was oblivious...LOL! Brett asked her a lot of questions during his talk and I was just amazed by her knowledge...thank you to her awesome primary teachers...I know I and Nathan get some credit but man...she knows her stuff better than I thought she did...she basically recited the fourth article of faith...she knew the river Christ was baptized in an by who...among a lot of other things that just amazed us all (and brought us to tears). My sister Noraleen and my friend Marta sang the musical number....she had asked one of her babysitters to sing who ended up getting sick and voice was not very strong and she is in a musical right now so she was trying to take care of voice so we asked one of their other babysitters to sing but she couldn't so I gave her the option that I could sing (although really although I love to sing I knew I would be a mess emotionally) and didnt' feel it was a smart move so we asked Noraleen and Marta and Natali loved that idea above me singing  at her baptism..then she asked her Grandpa Whittacre to talk on the Gift of the Holy Ghost and he related it to mousetraps and did an awesome job keeping her involved she LOVED when he had her wear Daddy's blue tooth and listen to her Dad tell her what to do to avoid the mousetraps...she was then baptized and confirmed by her Dad...it was just beautiful...On top of that she requested that she be allowed to bear her testimony...so we put in a small testimony time after she recieved the Gift of the Holy Ghost so she could bear her testimony...what a sweet tender moment...it was beautiful...we then visted a few moments with friends and family and came back to the house with my sister and Marta and our friends that came from Hurrican to visit and then decided last minute to go to CiCi's pizza with some more friends rather than making the Lasanga we had planned on making...that made Natali's day but then by the time we finished eating she was burnt out from her day and just wanted to go home and go to bed.
We celebrated her birthday officially with cake and icecream the next day on Sunday we grilled Steaks and had potato salad and had cake and icecream. She got to talk with my parents (Grandma and Grandpa Jeppson) over Skype and tell them about her baptism as my parents are not in good enough health to travel. They bought her a beautiful dress for her baptism/birthday and a necklace...her Grandma and Grandpa Whittacre gave her a beautiful picture of Christ with children for her baptism and a new hairdryer for her birthday with a brush and comb...she LOVED that...she feels so grown up...she had a lot of friends that showed up and supported her in her baptism and gave her gifts/cards...and she loved them all...she thanks you all...she had a wonderful day!

God's Hand I haven't blogged in a while. I guess it's time to show some gratitude. I have come to realize in the last year or so how often we take for granted how incredibly involved our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ are in our everyday life. Just because we can't not see them physically, I find that we often forget how much they really do have their hands extended and are continually guiding us.        Of course I do believe that life is all about choices. The good, the bad, the ugly, or rather determining what is good, better and best. What we choose can shape a lot of who we are and who we have the capability of becoming. We have agency. He let's us choose. But as we follow His guidance through the Spirit I definitely think He knows where He needs us better than we do. Merry Christmas 2018! I deeply apologize for the 2nd year in a row not sending out Christmas cards/letters. I just haven't had the extra time or patience to do so. I haven't been on my blog in forever and almost forgot how to post anything. I hope you all enjoy. The past couple years have brought some trials as is life. But through it all we have continually be blessed and the outpouring of love and support from those around us have made burdens lighter. We are most grateful for our Savior and His divine hand in our lives and that is really all we can ask for. A short blurb for each of us. Nathan's business is expanding which brings more travel and more stress. But blessings all the same. He hiked the JMT trail this summer/fall for his birthday that was in May. I sat thinking today (dangerous I know)  and decided to change things up on my blog today...who doesn't like a CONTEST! Yup...now don't get too excited. You won't be winning millions of dollars or anything like that. Now I have friends ALL over the country and out of the country for that matter. SO if someone outside of Vegas or Utah wins this ridiculously silly contest, then I will figure out something I can mail to you. If you are local or in Utah I will make you something amazing. My amazing chocolate cupcakes, or fresh baked bread, or maybe even invite you to our home for dinner (if you are local). But as I was pondering my lack of energy today.
