Kate's Birthday

For Kate's birthday we first went to Aviation Nation (the Las Vegas Air Show) she loves airplanes (or so we thought) here are a few pictures of Aviation Nation which was the day before her birthday

Four of us in the huge cargo plane for the smile Kate has on her face you would never know that she was fighting us NOT to walk through the cargo plane and she also didn't want her picture taken either (hense why I am in the picture) but she sure smiled pretty even after the fight...

Her beautiful birthday cake that Freeds whipped together in a matter of minutes (because Nathan said he would handle getting the cake and just walked in and decided to just pick up an already made cake the decor was in fall colors though and she specifically asked for pink and purple balloons and so he asked them to just put pink and purple balloons on the orange, red and brown cake and happy birthday Katie in purple) and they took that cake back to do so and came back with this one...needless to say Nathan was shocked when he saw they duplicated the cake but in pink and purple they just claimed they had some undecorated ones back there and so they just did this up in a matter of 5 minutes...amazing!

Kate's birthday dinner out to Outback the night we went to Aviation Nation...She had a blast...Nathan also generally takes the kids flying for their birthday and this year the weather wouldn't permit the day they had planned and she confessed she was okay with that because she didnt' "like" flying anyway. LOL...so instead they went and built her a bear at Build a Bear (a blue one) she named Strawberry Shortcake but I didn't put a picture of it...cute though and cheaper than him taking her flying. LOL!

God's Hand I haven't blogged in a while. I guess it's time to show some gratitude. I have come to realize in the last year or so how often we take for granted how incredibly involved our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ are in our everyday life. Just because we can't not see them physically, I find that we often forget how much they really do have their hands extended and are continually guiding us.        Of course I do believe that life is all about choices. The good, the bad, the ugly, or rather determining what is good, better and best. What we choose can shape a lot of who we are and who we have the capability of becoming. We have agency. He let's us choose. But as we follow His guidance through the Spirit I definitely think He knows where He needs us better than we do. Merry Christmas 2018! I deeply apologize for the 2nd year in a row not sending out Christmas cards/letters. I just haven't had the extra time or patience to do so. I haven't been on my blog in forever and almost forgot how to post anything. I hope you all enjoy. The past couple years have brought some trials as is life. But through it all we have continually be blessed and the outpouring of love and support from those around us have made burdens lighter. We are most grateful for our Savior and His divine hand in our lives and that is really all we can ask for. A short blurb for each of us. Nathan's business is expanding which brings more travel and more stress. But blessings all the same. He hiked the JMT trail this summer/fall for his birthday that was in May. I sat thinking today (dangerous I know)  and decided to change things up on my blog today...who doesn't like a CONTEST! Yup...now don't get too excited. You won't be winning millions of dollars or anything like that. Now I have friends ALL over the country and out of the country for that matter. SO if someone outside of Vegas or Utah wins this ridiculously silly contest, then I will figure out something I can mail to you. If you are local or in Utah I will make you something amazing.
