Girls Camp Pt 2

There are many activities that they Young Women (and leaders if we so chose) to participate in...this is the zip line. They also had archery, rappelling, rifle shooting, and then of course the infamous hike. I did not participate in any as of my "condition" LOL! But I did watch the zip line a few times... the girls had fun...

Opening and closing flag...each morning and evening we would have a flag ceremony (raise and lower the flag) at each flag ceremony we would have a roll call and each ward came up with a creative song or cheer to let everyone know we were there. In this particular one we decided to have our fourth year have them all do the wave...the object was to keep doing it until they made her stop...after three times they asked her to stop and she went four just for "kicks" when she got back to us we all yelled our ward name... it was quite funny really.

We had to design our own flag to take to each flag ceremony. We were all assigned an article of faith. We were article of faith seven and then all the leaders and girls made a square for the border. It turned out great!

If you are late to a flag ceremony this is an example of what happens. You have to sing and dance in front of everyone...the YCL's choose the song...this one wasn't exactly fair because four priesthood leaders were late they made ALL the priesthood leaders come forward. And our Bishop (center) was 10 minutes early because he despises doing these things. This song was A tootie ta! (I am not sure that is how you properly spell it) Nonetheless it was still entertaining!
