Girls Camp Part 1

So we had a tent raising party the Wednesday before camp. We felt it was extremely important the girls learned how to set up the tents. So a Brother in our ward taught them but we leaders failed to pay attention. So here are the girls setting up OUR tent. Thanks girls! (by the way the tent didn't have instructions with it)

This is Billy Green the Grasshopper. He was watching over our camp site when we first got there. I was the first to notice him and although he was mighty bright green I thought he was real. He never moved though...so then another leader thought the same thing and as we were talking about how green he was one of the girls walked over and said, "Oh, he isn't real, picked him up and declared him our mascot." He had many adventures and almost got toasted in the fire. But he did eventually disappear...

Playing games with the YCL's (Youth Camp Leaders..aka 5th years) our Eliza and Kylee came by and played games with us. The short blonde in the front who doesn't have her hands above her head...yep that's our Young Women President...from the back she looks like one of the "girls" trust me she really doesn't look "that" young...

God's Hand I haven't blogged in a while. I guess it's time to show some gratitude. I have come to realize in the last year or so how often we take for granted how incredibly involved our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ are in our everyday life. Just because we can't not see them physically, I find that we often forget how much they really do have their hands extended and are continually guiding us.        Of course I do believe that life is all about choices. The good, the bad, the ugly, or rather determining what is good, better and best. What we choose can shape a lot of who we are and who we have the capability of becoming. We have agency. He let's us choose. But as we follow His guidance through the Spirit I definitely think He knows where He needs us better than we do. Merry Christmas 2018! I deeply apologize for the 2nd year in a row not sending out Christmas cards/letters. I just haven't had the extra time or patience to do so. I haven't been on my blog in forever and almost forgot how to post anything. I hope you all enjoy. The past couple years have brought some trials as is life. But through it all we have continually be blessed and the outpouring of love and support from those around us have made burdens lighter. We are most grateful for our Savior and His divine hand in our lives and that is really all we can ask for. A short blurb for each of us. Nathan's business is expanding which brings more travel and more stress. But blessings all the same. He hiked the JMT trail this summer/fall for his birthday that was in May. I sat thinking today (dangerous I know)  and decided to change things up on my blog today...who doesn't like a CONTEST! Yup...now don't get too excited. You won't be winning millions of dollars or anything like that. Now I have friends ALL over the country and out of the country for that matter. SO if someone outside of Vegas or Utah wins this ridiculously silly contest, then I will figure out something I can mail to you. If you are local or in Utah I will make you something amazing.
