Deep Doctrine...

So you start to wonder how these things get into these kids heads. Noah is a want to know everything kid. We know that there is a stage in every child's life that we hear "What is this?" and "What is that?" "How do you do this?" "How do you do that?" "What if this, and what if that?" But it is on rare occasion (or so I would think) that your four almost five year old turns to you and says...
"When is the end of the world?" Now I only caught onto the conversation half way in so I am not exactly for sure the question he posed. I just heard Nathan respond to "well...no one knows when the last day is only Heavenly Father knows." This is some of the rest of the conversation

Noah: Well, I think Heavenly Father needs to tell me when it is?
Nathan: Well, you could ask him
Ruth: Well, Noah we would all like to know that answer but I am afraid the best time to ask him is when that time comes.
Noah: Well I want to know now

This conversation did not end there he continued to ask more and more and more questions... at one point Nathan says..."Noah, could you please eat and we can have this doctrinal conversation another time." LOL!

Inquisitive little boy! Gotta love him!

God's Hand I haven't blogged in a while. I guess it's time to show some gratitude. I have come to realize in the last year or so how often we take for granted how incredibly involved our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ are in our everyday life. Just because we can't not see them physically, I find that we often forget how much they really do have their hands extended and are continually guiding us.        Of course I do believe that life is all about choices. The good, the bad, the ugly, or rather determining what is good, better and best. What we choose can shape a lot of who we are and who we have the capability of becoming. We have agency. He let's us choose. But as we follow His guidance through the Spirit I definitely think He knows where He needs us better than we do. Merry Christmas 2018! I deeply apologize for the 2nd year in a row not sending out Christmas cards/letters. I just haven't had the extra time or patience to do so. I haven't been on my blog in forever and almost forgot how to post anything. I hope you all enjoy. The past couple years have brought some trials as is life. But through it all we have continually be blessed and the outpouring of love and support from those around us have made burdens lighter. We are most grateful for our Savior and His divine hand in our lives and that is really all we can ask for. A short blurb for each of us. Nathan's business is expanding which brings more travel and more stress. But blessings all the same. He hiked the JMT trail this summer/fall for his birthday that was in May. I sat thinking today (dangerous I know)  and decided to change things up on my blog today...who doesn't like a CONTEST! Yup...now don't get too excited. You won't be winning millions of dollars or anything like that. Now I have friends ALL over the country and out of the country for that matter. SO if someone outside of Vegas or Utah wins this ridiculously silly contest, then I will figure out something I can mail to you. If you are local or in Utah I will make you something amazing. My amazing chocolate cupcakes, or fresh baked bread, or maybe even invite you to our home for dinner (if you are local). But as I was pondering my lack of energy today.
