My Valentine Today!


Our Wedding Day


I thought I would share our first Valentines Day together after we met.
Our first Valentines Day together was actually a bit awkward. From the time we met
in October. I had dumped him, got back together in January and so February came
around and I was still nervous about the whole marriage talk. I needed to take things slow.
With Valentines Day I was nervous because I knew his intentions. So there we went on our date and because my mind was so scatter brained as to what he was thinking I can't even remember where we went or what we did. I am sure it was nice though that is Nathan's style. So we get back to my house and I am thinking Whew! I didn't have to make that eternal decision tonight. When he walks around to my side of the truck to let me out he presents me with a small box. My heart was racing soooo hard I about wanted to crap my pants. I gingerly opened it up to find beautiful diamond earrings. He has got a grin from ear to ear as he says "you thought I was proposing didn't you?" (I think he wanted me to think that to see how I would react) I don't remember quite what I said because I know I didn't admit it at the time that I thought he was going to propose and frankly that wasn't the only time he pulled a stunt like that I can't remember if it was before or after Valentines Day though.
Just for the record when he finally proposed he did it the right way so that I for sure was ready for that BIG question. I will share that another day.

God's Hand I haven't blogged in a while. I guess it's time to show some gratitude. I have come to realize in the last year or so how often we take for granted how incredibly involved our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ are in our everyday life. Just because we can't not see them physically, I find that we often forget how much they really do have their hands extended and are continually guiding us.        Of course I do believe that life is all about choices. The good, the bad, the ugly, or rather determining what is good, better and best. What we choose can shape a lot of who we are and who we have the capability of becoming. We have agency. He let's us choose. But as we follow His guidance through the Spirit I definitely think He knows where He needs us better than we do. Merry Christmas 2018! I deeply apologize for the 2nd year in a row not sending out Christmas cards/letters. I just haven't had the extra time or patience to do so. I haven't been on my blog in forever and almost forgot how to post anything. I hope you all enjoy. The past couple years have brought some trials as is life. But through it all we have continually be blessed and the outpouring of love and support from those around us have made burdens lighter. We are most grateful for our Savior and His divine hand in our lives and that is really all we can ask for. A short blurb for each of us. Nathan's business is expanding which brings more travel and more stress. But blessings all the same. He hiked the JMT trail this summer/fall for his birthday that was in May. I sat thinking today (dangerous I know)  and decided to change things up on my blog today...who doesn't like a CONTEST! Yup...now don't get too excited. You won't be winning millions of dollars or anything like that. Now I have friends ALL over the country and out of the country for that matter. SO if someone outside of Vegas or Utah wins this ridiculously silly contest, then I will figure out something I can mail to you. If you are local or in Utah I will make you something amazing.
