Nathan's new "plan"

Okay so this is Nathan's new quirk. As President of his company he is part of a team that gets together and brainstorms and offers unique ideas on how to better their companies etc... This is the new one that he decided to also implement at home. This sign hangs by the doorways at work and here is the one at our house. You say it out loud every time you see it and then slap it. The kids LOVE doing it. Not only have they learned how to read the sign they love to say it and slap it. (Even Kate is slapping it!) she isn't saying it yet though. It was originally above the light switch and they kept asking what it was for so Nathan explained it to them and they insisted on slapping it too. I got sick of picking them up so they could reach it. So we moved it down. But it is just a motivational way to have a positive day. Along with this "training" that he implemented at work with his employees. They have a wallet card on how to build relationships of trust with clientel. (Doesn't it just scream Mission for those who served) and also along with that you are suppose to put a picture of goals in your wallet to remind you what you are aiming for. Nathan has a picture of a plane because he wants to get his pilot license. I have yet to do it but I think a picture of a baby boy would be a good start.

God's Hand I haven't blogged in a while. I guess it's time to show some gratitude. I have come to realize in the last year or so how often we take for granted how incredibly involved our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ are in our everyday life. Just because we can't not see them physically, I find that we often forget how much they really do have their hands extended and are continually guiding us.        Of course I do believe that life is all about choices. The good, the bad, the ugly, or rather determining what is good, better and best. What we choose can shape a lot of who we are and who we have the capability of becoming. We have agency. He let's us choose. But as we follow His guidance through the Spirit I definitely think He knows where He needs us better than we do. Merry Christmas 2018! I deeply apologize for the 2nd year in a row not sending out Christmas cards/letters. I just haven't had the extra time or patience to do so. I haven't been on my blog in forever and almost forgot how to post anything. I hope you all enjoy. The past couple years have brought some trials as is life. But through it all we have continually be blessed and the outpouring of love and support from those around us have made burdens lighter. We are most grateful for our Savior and His divine hand in our lives and that is really all we can ask for. A short blurb for each of us. Nathan's business is expanding which brings more travel and more stress. But blessings all the same. He hiked the JMT trail this summer/fall for his birthday that was in May. CONTEST!

I sat thinking today (dangerous I know)  and decided to change things up on my blog today...who doesn't like a CONTEST! Yup...now don't get too excited. You won't be winning millions of dollars or anything like that. Now I have friends ALL over the country and out of the country for that matter. SO if someone outside of Vegas or Utah wins this ridiculously silly contest, then I will figure out something I can mail to you. If you are local or in Utah I will make you something amazing.
